Ahh your talking about the mini earthquakes while they are arguing around the ship. In your room they must feel like real ones! I wonder do you have or would your install benefit from 70-120hz (midbass) reinforcement of a diy nature?

Those miniquakes are about as low/powerful as I can get, they compare to 3 scenes in WOTWs for me: Road break up, fuel tanker exploding after thrown from the bridge, and when the pod falls, smashing through the brick building.

I definitely have holes, including the midbass you speak of as well as treble. MTMs all around would be nice.

I found that my mains could not keep up with my massive LLT's shortly after I had them installed. Ya need some massive mains, boy. Hence what I did.... getting huge ass JBL 4648 cabs per channel up front.

My Dual 18" LLT subs 120dB down to 10hz

Caught this little beauty during the opening credits of The Haunting, DTS-ES version:

Posted more in the bass thread over in the other subforum. There's lots of content to 15Hz and a fair bit to 10Hz. Most of it is above 20Hz.

You just have to get further into the movie to see the major 15Hz stuff:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Haunting11.jpg

Honestly though, this movie is best enjoyed with something that can throw down hard above 18Hz... that's where all the fun is

OMG, thank you! I was trying forever to get this part plotted way back when we first were doing the waterfall thread. I love the bass during the opening logo and title card. Sounded pretty sick on my Tempest, even before the LLT's were put in. That guy was pretty good to 15hz so I had lots of fun with this movie.

You're most welcome

That huge 6Hz blob being there is interesting... as far as I know, there's nothing else like that in the whole movie.

Yep, beowulf do have some good stuff. Especially the dragon attack to the church scene is impressive.

Thank you LFE... that and Hellboy II have the most of the movies I have by far. WOTWs isn't any fun for me at all anymore.

Was going through some old waterfalls I did way back. Got another one for you. Superman Returns. Yeah, it's a snoozer but it's got sufficient content all the way down. Take a look.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...3#post12748203

Forgot what a good demo that movie actually was.... prolly should look for it on BD, myself. Btw, if you do, try and find the re-issue that has lossless audio. The first release did not.

Superman Returns - Chap 9 "...That Wasn't You."

Superman Returns - Chap 9 "We Seem To Be Experiencing a Power Failure."

Superman Returns - Chap 10 "The Faint Pop...of a Sonic Boom." "She's Pulling Away!"

Um, are ya kidding me? Looks like I need to edit the list its been a while

wow, so much more up higher than I thought... some of it seemed like just the subsonic extremely low tumble... I bet this is why I "get down to 5Hz" from higher reinforcement. Maybe pure 5Hz would go unoticed, but when combined it makes for euphoria

LOL. In the beginning I told myself I will get all of the top 20 movies no matter how bad they are so long as they have enough sub 15Hz content to make it worth my while. We got a few more than 20 and so many are just not the best movies in general are they?

as always, it's so great when you guys take your time to give us visual aids. Im the ADHD guy that will take the time to read every other page as long as the others are filled with pics

Well, DBE isn't just a one trick pony when it comes to single digit goodness, so maybe it's worth something that way:

now that one I like much more, for obviouse reasons. Those two snapshots combined make it worth it even if it's a dull flick to me.

For all its faults, DBE isn't dull. It's just obscenely bad. Not quite Dungeons & Dragons "so bad its good" type of bad, but you will be doing a few facepalms.

Every time Goku has a dragonball vision you will get single digit content in this movie, though it's not limited to those scenes alone.

This list was compiled with the implication of movie Blureys, but after several weeks of trying to ignore it, Fringe must be added. Opening up that can of worms, i will throw in FlashForward as well.

I hate watching HULU for the intent of audio pleasure, I like to keep up with a few shows on it but since I decided to give Fringe another go after having completed the HT... I find it more impressive than all of the Blurey movies on this list, other than The Incredible. I watched the 1st 2 episodes of FlashForward the other day, the 1st episode is at least 1/4 of it filled with constant single digits or very close to it. That 1st episode has more in it than ALL of the movies I have combined. I will most likely be purchasing the Fringe Bluereys despite me being quite annoyed sometimes by the show. I watch it off the PC right now, the audio is terrible, but it's enough to tell me whats there...waiting on those pretty blu discs.
