I snapped off some pics of my own and will post them later today...
The veneer and finish is spectacular...

Good to hear Warp! I had a little bump with delivery largly due to issues here at the local facility. Giving ...Nathan all the credit here because I couldn't get any answers at the time.... he made few phone calls and the next day it arrived at my door.

How would a Behringer EP4000 do with one of these beasts? I don't really see folks discussing them as a possibility here. It should provide sufficient power in bridged mode right?

I only ask because they are dirt cheap and available locally.

Bravo to Mr. Funk!

Those are some beautiful cabinets!

Warp, you are totally insane with that as your "bedroom sub". Then again, look at your HT setup.

Do you believe the truth, or seek it?

Should be great - your really only gettin about 3-5 db more with a 4kw amp as the ep4000 is basically a ep2500 which pushes roughly 1800w under full load at 4ohms bridged.

If you could hear Warp's HT setup, you'd realize that he has the minimum setup for him in his bedroom...VERY minimum!

I'm really looking forward to my visit Tuesday. I can't wait to hear the new sub.

Warp,

Those look beautiful!!! What was the exact finish on them? They look like they would match my B&W Rosenut 800 Series speakers perfectly!

Great shots of the cabinet Warp!

That is one sexy subwoofer, Warp; how does she...(I mean it ) perform in your room?

Don't know yet, didn't drop the driver - looks like it'll be tonight, (your welcome over) I canceled terry's pick up of the submersive due to the weather, as you know we got 8 more inches of snow on tues. My buddy Aaron is coming over tonight to assist me in lowering that beast in there.... I'm sure I could tackle this myself, but the recess is so tight around the rubber gasket that I don't want to damage the veneer or have to struggle with it....

I had the dualies built with a touch more room around the driver so it would be easier to install those monsters...
Here is just the basket/cone sitting in the cab with nothing holding it in there but friction....

I'm Sure Nathan would be happy to make the same box for a 15" - he'll build anything you want custom...

This is my dual webber grill and hot tub after the last 2 snow falls.... we just had a thaw here and most of our huge previous snowfall was all melted - and now this again...

Just so you know, it was not only me that was disappointed you had to cancel. The first thing out of my 10 year old daughter's mouth when I picked her up from school Tuesday was: "do you have the second sub at home dad?" When I told her no, I thought she might start to cry...or was that me that was almost going to cry? (j/k ) I was proud of her. She is the only other music lover in the family. I was surprised that she asked about the sub as I don't really think she fully understands what a sub does.

I'm looking forward to your impressions of the new sub vs. the Submersive.

Got it installed last night....

Stuffed a few pillows in there and dropped it in.... powered by an EP 2500, serious poundage for that small room.... still have to eq it with the SMS, just didn't take the time last night. Gotta drag the SMS up from the basement and hook it all up to shape the response, kinda a pain in the @$$....

I think its a bad camera angle, it was a quick shot with the crappy iphone.... Def wider then the submersive...

Submersive specs...
24.25" W x 17.5" D x 25.5" H

18.0 specs
22" wide 22.5" high 22" deep

All EQ'd and up and running very nicely with a slight house curve... baby goes deep from the response I saw on the SMS and sounds amazing... What a pain in the @$$ to run that dam SMS with all the other equipment in the basement... Ugh... Oh well all done and a nice upgrade for my room... tons and tons of headroom with this beast, its barely working in my 1800^3 room...

Here are the final pics... just got to take a marker to those allen screws... Can't find my black sharpie...

I keep getting asked how much for the box....
I paid just under $1k shipped with the options I chose... sunken magnets under veneer, padauk finish and 3/4 roundover all the way around top and bottom...

And yes the pic on the Funky Waves Page of my sub accurately depict the color of the box...
It has a deep darkish red hue to it.... darker with no light, a little more red in the light... Very nice...
Cheers

I would assume, in your humble opinion, this was an upgrade in SQ compared to the Submersive?

I've found a good price on a Crest 9200...............is it possible to run two FW-LMS's on the same amp? Or am I "barking up the wrong tree?"

I'm an old man............not a "head banger!"

Nathan has done another amazing job and a compelling argument against making my own subs
