I brought it to my local guy with Johnsons info. I rebooted the amp and it started working again but now I could hit the clip lights which I should not be able to. Hitting the clip lights was still 130 dB at 10hz but before I hit 132 dB at -10 LED.

Have you every changed in the input power board. I think the earlier versions are not as robust and over time would wear out. I know is sounds funny but I have seen it happen. If problem still continues I would ask for their latest version. Its the small board that the power wire connects too. Fairly easy to change and shouldnt cost much to ship to you from Sanway..

Sounds like the you need a resistor pot

Well after 4 years of high spl HT all it needed was a reset! Still kickin ass! Nothing is wrong, the monster cable trigger messed with it and a reboot fixed everything. I might just take that thing out of the loop and use my DIY 20 amp trigger, never had problems with that, the Monster AVS 2000 is just too cool looking though.

That sucks man. Bass is an essential part of a balanced diet to get your day started right.

Hope you get that addressed soon.

Has anyone tried the enhanced fp10000q or fp14000 from H-y? I'm on the fence giving these clones a shot to power 4 x ported hst18's. My other option is a pair of cv5000's.

My first clone is 3 years old now and still working. The newest one is 6 months old and it is also still working.
I don't clip mine though, I keep it no-higher-than just below that.

By the time they get to -10db it is already way TOO loud for the people around me.

The enhanced versions:

Merrysound charged almost $300 for shipping and were slow in replying. They wanted $845 for an enhanced FP10000Q.

HYAudio wanted approx. $200 for shipping and were initially a little slow in replying, but once they responded the ball went rolling. They wanted $880 for the enhanced FP10000Q.

I never got any of them as I got happy powering quad midbass modules with a pair of Inuke 6000's. For low bass I'm using two FP14000 from Sanway and they are excellent. Had some trouble with one of them but it was fixed by replacing boards and I am not sure if it was a manufacturing error or what, since I bought the unit that failed second hand.

If I were to go for an enhanced one I'd place my bet on HYAudio, for regular clones Sanway like everyone else. Not sure if the benefit of the enhanced version trumps the risk though. With Sanway you know what you're getting and if there are any issues you'll get help having them resolved even though it will cost you a little. Personally I would stay clear of the home theater version and get the regular one with the fans going all the time and would rather do a fan mod to lower noise.

I like bass

How is the fan noise on the FP14000 compared to an inuke 6000's fans? I didn't find the inuke that loud, like others have commented. My HTPC case fan is louder! (i gotta swap it out!)

The inuke fans appear far lower in pitch than the FP14000's so the clones appear much more noisy. Haven't done SPL readings to compare, but I don't think an SPL measurement says it all anyways as the human ear is more sensitive to higher pitched noise. It's easy to live with the hum of a noisy fridge, not so much higher pitched noise.

The 14k is WAY louder than a 6000 with the stock fans, but it is great with Nyt's fans. I'd also recommend skipping the 'HT' version.

Sounds like the FP14000 will need fan mod then... anyone have a link to the fan mod?

Also, what version is best to get? the 110V? or 220V? or does it only come in 110V? When I emailed Sanway, they only refer to it as a 110V....
