Sounds like the you need a resistor pot

Well after 4 years of high spl HT all it needed was a reset! Still kickin ass! Nothing is wrong, the monster cable trigger messed with it and a reboot fixed everything. I might just take that thing out of the loop and use my DIY 20 amp trigger, never had problems with that, the Monster AVS 2000 is just too cool looking though.

That sucks man. Bass is an essential part of a balanced diet to get your day started right.

Hope you get that addressed soon.

Has anyone tried the enhanced fp10000q or fp14000 from H-y? I'm on the fence giving these clones a shot to power 4 x ported hst18's. My other option is a pair of cv5000's.

My first clone is 3 years old now and still working. The newest one is 6 months old and it is also still working.
I don't clip mine though, I keep it no-higher-than just below that.

By the time they get to -10db it is already way TOO loud for the people around me.

The enhanced versions:

Merrysound charged almost $300 for shipping and were slow in replying. They wanted $845 for an enhanced FP10000Q.

HYAudio wanted approx. $200 for shipping and were initially a little slow in replying, but once they responded the ball went rolling. They wanted $880 for the enhanced FP10000Q.

I never got any of them as I got happy powering quad midbass modules with a pair of Inuke 6000's. For low bass I'm using two FP14000 from Sanway and they are excellent. Had some trouble with one of them but it was fixed by replacing boards and I am not sure if it was a manufacturing error or what, since I bought the unit that failed second hand.

If I were to go for an enhanced one I'd place my bet on HYAudio, for regular clones Sanway like everyone else. Not sure if the benefit of the enhanced version trumps the risk though. With Sanway you know what you're getting and if there are any issues you'll get help having them resolved even though it will cost you a little. Personally I would stay clear of the home theater version and get the regular one with the fans going all the time and would rather do a fan mod to lower noise.

How is the fan noise on the FP14000 compared to an inuke 6000's fans? I didn't find the inuke that loud, like others have commented. My HTPC case fan is louder! (i gotta swap it out!)

The inuke fans appear far lower in pitch than the FP14000's so the clones appear much more noisy. Haven't done SPL readings to compare, but I don't think an SPL measurement says it all anyways as the human ear is more sensitive to higher pitched noise. It's easy to live with the hum of a noisy fridge, not so much higher pitched noise.

The 14k is WAY louder than a 6000 with the stock fans, but it is great with Nyt's fans. I'd also recommend skipping the 'HT' version.

Sounds like the FP14000 will need fan mod then... anyone have a link to the fan mod?

Also, what version is best to get? the 110V? or 220V? or does it only come in 110V? When I emailed Sanway, they only refer to it as a 110V....

Well, if you have a low tune enclosure you likely won't need the full power handling of the drivers to reach xmax at the desired bottom frequency. If you lets say want flat response from 10hz then as long as you reach xmax at 10hz then you only need 1/4 the xmax to have the same db at 20hz. 1/16 the xmax at 40hz.

My goal is to experience every frequency that any movie has to offer. So I figure the subs need to be capable of reaching down to 3hz. My thoughts are two nearfield enclosures with dual opposed FTW21's. But they are 4ohm each, so that's 2 ohm per enclosure. I'd love to find a 20000q clone, but don't think they exist? So I was hoping the FP14000 would work at 2ohm.

I believe Not or someone did say there was a 20000 clone...just a couple months ago??

Of course, someone is selling the real LG 20000 used on Ebay...if there is an extra $5k laying around...

The FP14k is supposedly 2 ohm stable, according to Sanway, anyway.

Series connected in pairs would be better I think. FP10k in bridged pairs should give that voltage gain I think.

I've never been able to play a 1hz or 2hz tone before (all my other amps roll off at 5-7hz), but I just tried it with the FP14000.
I didn't push it to full power (because I'm chicken) but it did move the cone all the way to 1hz. Sweet their specs don't lie!

MK did you get yours fixed or figure out what it was? Mine started doing the exact same thing which sucks and is odd as its literally been off for like 4 months (ive been stupid busy and my AVR died (HDMI Board) and i just finally got around to changing it out

will randomly cut to mute leds both channels ( i only use 1) i noticed it when doing the AVR setup with the new AVR, it seemingly comes and goes randomly, however i can make it happen every time i have it on and then power on another amp.

At first i thought maybe the miniDSP or something else was doing it but reading your post it seems this is the issue

Sanway is the best tried and proven supplier of the clones. You contact Mr Johnson Tang through their email: sales@china-sanway.com . You basically ask for what you want and he will send you a Paypal invoice. After you've paid he will use DHL express and you'll have the amp within a week or so from paying.

I would not go with the home theater version with temperature controlled fans. Go with the ones that run all the time and do a fan mod instead if you need to lower the noise.

As far as I know Sanway does not offer Enhanced versions of the FP clones. Some months back I contemplated an enhanced amp from another supplier, but I did not grow confident with their communication, response rate and one company's inflated shipping rates, so I chose to stick with what I know which is Sanway (own two FP14k's and will eventually get a FP10kQ). The suppliers in question were HYAudio and Merrysound. If I absolutely wanted an Enhanced version, I'd place my bet on HYAudio.

I like bass

I think I remeber someone having an issue with theirs and they did a reset? and fixed it? Not sure how that's done though.... I don't own a clone yet. I'm curious if the 20000q will do 1hz too?

Sounds like you've had a undervolt or power surge on your electrical grid, or perhaps when the AVR blew it damaged the clone.
These things usually happen in pairs+ for a reason... cascade failures.
