V2 just doubled the bracing. See my signature for a build.

Are these still your absolute favorite single subwoofer you've demoed out of all you've had your hands on?

What do you people think about uning 2ch from Powersoft m50 for 2 othorns in small spaces like 2-300 sq meters and 150 people?

The m50 may not be quite enough amplifier for these in a venue.

It's complicated. These are one of my favorites for music. One of the most fun.

I am no longer providing support for these. I've given away the design and fielded hundreds of questions for a couple of years for nothing in return. I'm retired. I still get a handful of requests every week, many of which require a LOT of hand holding and follow up answers and I get offered nothing in return and I just don't have the time or will to do it any more. The information is out there and a lot of people have built them who seem willing to help others out. Good luck.

Thanks...

Love my Othorns, and Ghorns. Thanks for sharing them Ricci.

Like he said, follow Luke's threads to build either. All you need is there and within the discussion.

Ricci, never built either of these designs but appreciate your work/contributions.

How is the pail horn coming along?

Will you be using a Rockford 19 in a GH replacement?

Do a search and you will find it. It is not hard to google or AVS search to find past builds. Take the time and read a lot and you will see many designs. Othorn, TH18, Ghorn, Cubo ect ect.

So take your time and search.

And if you search you can increase your knowledge and that way you can use those Othorns wisely. And also if problems appears in your way, you will ve able to understand them and solve them. Plus, it is way more satisfying to deduce yourself how stuff works and why, than to have them put on your table. I did it that way and it was fun. After that I have also had the plans

Starting this build.

I have obtained the plans and am starting my layout on one of the sides. Something does not seem right though as my measurements are a bit "off". The plans show dado cuts which I am not going to do (butt joints and pocket hole screws) and I am trying to do the math to make the panels the right length. I found the B&C 21SW152-4 on sale at Amazon for $506 including shipping, so I snagged one of those. If I can build this without too much error it should really rock my small room!

Hey all,

I was originally planning on using the 21" driver this was designed for, but I think the required 24" width is not going to work for me. I am now looking at using the B&C 18" 18NW100 driver and possibly making it a bit narrower as long as it does not kill the response. These are the driver parameters using this driver in the Othorn in Hornresp. The original panel width of the Othorn is 23.291". If I were to make the panels 21" even what parameters in Hornresp would I change to simulate this? I would like to see what this change would do to the response before making any sawdust.

I am still unclear on this. Using the example above S2 shows that it is 400.78 cm sq, How would I modify this amount to reflect the panel width change of 23.291" down to 21". Thanks for the reply, I am still learning.

New S2 = 400.78 * 21 / 23.291

Hope you weren't the kid that told their algebra teacher that they'd never use that stuff in the real world.
