+1 mine too. Im only feeding it like 200w though and its turned waaaay down as a filler sub, so prob more like 50-100w.

Don't waste time reading signatures.....

I couldn't get anywhere with a replacement driver or coil so I bought some awesome 18" drivers from Mach 1 in Canada. I installed one each on either side bottom of my cabinet and replaced the 21" Maelstrom with the Exodus 21" pr. That gives me 2 active UXL-18 woofers, 2 18" AE passives loaded to 2100 grams and a single 21" passive loaded to 2100 grams. I don't think a better sub-woofer exists. Each driver is seeing 1200 watts from my Face amp and I'm channeled through a Reckhorn B1 EQ for protection and tweaking. Powerful yet subtle for the finest in music and movie entertainment.

My low end of 13hz starts to fall off at 112 db but I can live with it. My neighbors have a tough time with it though.....cool.gif

Bye, bye....

My 21" still works great in a 6cuft sealed powered by 2000+ watts.

I figure epoxies eventually fully cure with time so I am not too worried about it now and I actually have not heard of any failures from the Vegas subs.

Interesting, ifferent PR's in the same box.

Did you take pains to tune them to the same freq?

Otherwise I'd think they'd be cancelling away from their own Fp.

My 18 is working fine. Light use in 9ft 3 tuned to 18 hz with about 1500 watts of power

2x 18" Maelstrom-X2, didn't survive. 1 has a spider come lose, which I re-attached, only to find the same problem as the other one; some metal parts (or something) causing a rattling noise in the motor.

Shiva-X, 2x Tempest-X, 2x Maelstrom-X2, MiniDSP etc

The sim in the chart above worked out great and after completing them I used Linkwitz's tone cd and Ultimate Bass cd. The chart was compared to individual pr sims as well.

I get the best bass I've heard compared to anything I've ever listened to or owned. With the reserve capacitance of my Face 1200 TS amp and the raw power, my bass is so real even at low volumes. The drivers can see 1200 watts each.

With something this "over the top" as audio reviewers call it, placement isn't and issue either. I divorced and bought an old small house. The sub is 4' from my chair an you don't know where the bass is coming from. Truly awesome.

Here is the chart with the single Mael 21":

I've never seen anything that can model different PR's in one box.

But if it works, it works.
