As if 'ol Kate in a tight leather outfit wasn't enough, now I have a really good reason to get this movie.

I just watched the 10 minute free preview on vudu and was mildly impressed, though the preview was not in hd audio.

Your use of the word "factor" is an english-slang, that happens to be technically wrong for the behavior you are describing.

What you mean to say is: "a multiple of 2"

A "factor" is the derivative components of a cross product.
3 and 4 are factors of 12. i.e. 3x4=12
(a + b) and (a - b) are factors of a^2-b^2

Powers however, are these here:
x^y
Where x is the base and y is the exponent/power.
"powers" of 2 i.e 2^y
Not to be confused with squaring: x^2

Darn it katz, you are giving me WW3 flashbacks of grade 9, NOOOOOOO!!!! I tried sooo hard to bury all those classes

Just picked up my copy. I'll find out tonight how this flick stacks up in the LFE department against the other top notch bass movies.

Please pay particular attention at the 47minute mark and enjoy that scene.
I look forward to hearing your comments.

I started watching the movie too late, so I couldn't see it all. But, from what I've seen and heard, this is one of my new favorites! The LFE is superb and the overall sound production is great. There's good use of surrounds, and it doesn't hurt that Kate Beckinsale is really easy on the eyes

Which is the best demo scene? I want to hear the subs work before I watch the whole movie with my wife.

The "Woman in Black" preview wins so far!

OMG, -15dbMV was best i could do. I backed off the AUX subs a little before the viewing. I have never heard or felt ripples of bass. This is a first floor HT, so it is subject to floor bounce. I was afraid, but never saw the red lights flash, i had a little more gas in the tank, but not much.

I watched this movie last night and you guys are spot on. The sound effects and bass were amazing. My folded horn had my living room shaking and front door vibrating at times. It's an awesome movie and Kate looks great as well!

Wow! Good thing I got the heads up regarding the bass. Use some discretion with this one, potential sub killer. I had no casualties but definitely the most consistently intense lfe in a movie i've run across. Anytime Kate fires hers guns or when big boy is in the mix, just waves of bass.

Yes, there were waves of bass! I like when the cop was shooting the revolver that looks like a Taurus Public Defender. Did it seem like the movie previews on the Blu-Ray disc had over exaggerated bass though?

My thoughts exactly. The movie started out a bit weak, but once it got going it was as others have described. Pretty cool.

OK, you win! I'll pick up a copy of this movie, the pinnacle for LFE. You've spent my money, are you happy now?

And BTW, Kate in black leather had nothing to do with it...

Crazy bass, I thought it was odd my rear speakers sounded blown.
Turns out they were fine, it was closet doors shaking, nick-naks in
the room bouncing around and furniture creaking.

had it cranked, absolutely loved it, my THT had no issues as usual, the wife loved the bass so much that she couldn't help but yell during the first "big boy" fight scene "This bass is SWEET!!!" The bass shakers in the couches really made the bass impacts even more enveloping.

Plus a Stanley Cup for the Red Wings and a Gold Medal for Canada!

In terms of LFE, size does matter!
