Is there any difference between http://www.minidsp.com/products/minidspkits/2-x-in-4-x-out and http://www.minidsp.com/products/minidsp-in-a-box/minidsp-2x4 other than the cover? The kit one is $25.00 cheaper.

I am looking to use it for a DIY subwoofer, using it as a HPF and an equalizer.

The case is the only difference. The A and B versions are the same circuit board too. There's a jumper on the board to switch between A and B.

High Desert Theater - work in progress
Building Bass - Subs

Surrounds - Easy as Pi

Storage - unRAID unDELL

ok thank you. Do you know which plug-in package I would buy? I just want to take my LFE from my subwoofer and set a band pass filter from like 16 hz to 120 hz and also eq that range and output it to 1 channel.

Any of the advanced plug ins will work for 1 in 1 out. You need the advanced plug in to work with REW (IIRC)

I got the two way in case I ever decide to use the board for an active crossover project. Currently using it for four subs:
preamp sub out > splitter > two DSP inputs > four DSP outputs > four channel amp > subs

High Desert Theater - work in progress
Building Bass - Subs

Surrounds - Easy as Pi

Storage - unRAID unDELL
