I just finished these up the other day. Sorry guys I didn't take a lot of pictures. I have only had about an hour of listening so far and I really like them. Once I have more extensive listening I will give better impressions. Here are the pics....which are what people care about anyway. The pictures aren't the best because they were taken with my wife's camera phone. We can't find the charging cord for the digital camera...so this is all I can get as of now.

I got to give some props to Jay1 as well, he was very patient with me and my ignorant questions all the way through this.

One of the best 7" 2way designs out there. Awesome looking speaker, even more so considering it was you first build. cool.gif

really surprised that no one has commented on these. We must only get off on diy subs around here. Which is half as cool as diy speakers in my opinion. Oh well, the speakers sound amazing for the $650 I have into them. Good luck finding something in the store/online that sounds this good for $650.

Looks nice, any measurements?

Curious, why are the tweeters offset horizontally, is that part of the design?

Yes, that's part of the design:

Nice job on the speakers - they turned out well. smile.gif

Did you find them difficult to build at all?

Great job, love the veneer. I chickened out and put mine in a curved Parts Express box.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the sound - I find mine to be very smoothly balanced and solid, detailed but not brash at all, good to listen to for hours.

I don't have any measurements....don't even know I would know how to take them. You can find them by the guy who came up with the design here.

For being a first timer, I thought they were pretty easy. I did pay someone to build the cabinet because I didn't have the tools and clamps. Could have built the box on my own fairly easily. I had him quote me and it would have honestly cost me as much for the clamps and tools as I paid him for the box. I couldn't believe that clamps cost $30-$40 box each, that blew my mind. I did everything else. I would have not been able to do the x-overs without the help of a friend...simply because I don't understand electrical schematics. If you know what you're doing the work is actually really easy.If I could have been able to tell where all the wires were connected from Mark's page I could have probably made it on my own. I just couldn't quite tell where each wire was connected. Jay1 put me at ease a lot too as I was not very confident at first since I had never done it before. I could build another pair very easily. Even though I don't know what all of the stuff on the x-over does...it's very easy to assemble when you know how each part is supposed to be hooked together. Thanks for the compliments.
