I've been recently looking at tapped projects on this site and the LMS-R build intrigued me enough to try and model an Eclipse SW9152 that I have been sitting on for a couple years. Here are the woofer specs I'm using:

* Manufacturer: TC Sounds for Eclipse
* Model: SW9152
* Piston Diameter = 76.2 mm
* f(s)= 34.99 Hz
* R(e)= 6.30 Ohms
* Z(max)= 73.05 Ohms
* Q(ms)= 7.142
* Q(es)= 0.674
* Q(ts)= 0.616
* V(as)= 0.185 liters (0.007 cubic feet)
* L(e)= 9.22 mH
* n(0)= 0.00 %
* SPL= 62.60 1W/1m
* M(ms)= 326.60 grams
* C(ms)= 0.06 mm/N
* BL= 25.91

I followed the simple tapped horn tutorial the posted by lilmike and came up with some interesting results. Problem is I don't know if results are adequate to build an enclosure from.

I'm sure there are some parameters that are wrong in this attempt since I am getting a pop up message every time I calculate.

Before you can really do anything, an accurate set of TS parameters is important. Rumor has it the specs from Eclipse on this driver aren't very accurate.

Vas in particular has to be a typo... not sure about the others.

My suggestion would be to grab Soho54's Easy Horn spreadsheet (do a forum search) once you know you have good specs and go from there. It's a huge timesaver, and will get you into the ballpark a little faster.

you seem to be heading in the right direction.

just a minor point, on your second sim, s2 is the cross sectional area in the front of the driver, so s1-s2 can't be less than 1/2 the driver width.

what made the lms-r horn build relatively easy was that the s1-s2 length and s3-s4 length were the same and the expansion was pretty much constant. that can make things a lot easier, but the result isn't always good.

he wanted a giant horn and that driver just happened to work in it. sometimes you get a little lucky.
