I am trying to plan out a build and need help. I am looking at building some floorstands with a TD10M, SEOS 12, and probably the DNA 360. These will start up front and eventually work their way to surrounds, when I build bigger ones for the front. I want to start with these because they are as big as we can fit in our house until we get moved.

My first question is on the TD10M would it be beneficial to get the Apollo Upgrade for $100?

Second question, would it be worth putting 2 drivers per floorstand. I am sure there is some benefit to adding the 2nd driver, I am just not sure if it would be worth the extra cost.

Thanks

the second driver will add sensitivity to the TD's with two instead of one, your problems though would outweigh toe benefits when it comes to voicing the speaker properly while building your XO. Do you have any plans to build a crossover or even have the capablitity?

No, I have no idea how to build a crossover and not sure I want to attempt it on this build. I was considering a mini dsp or paying someone to build the crossover for me. I am really just trying to make a list so that I can start buying parts as funds allow.

I admire you taking this on! I personally wouldnt go balls deep into a project until I knew I had someone lined up to do the XO design, or had the ability to do it myself, but the MiniDSP is a good alternative where you can still tweak to your heart's content and get the sound you really want out of them. IMHO, just go with one TD driver per cab, it is really all you need honestly.

I would personally prefer to have someone build a crossover, but I feel more comfortable knowing that I have the mini dsp as a back up plan. Thanks for the advice I wasn't sure if it would be worth it to buy the extra woofers, and I didn't want to build these and feel like I was missing anything.
