I searched before doing this thread but I just finished watching this movie with my son (Sorry I know I'm late)
Never thought this movie had insane amount of bass.

I had to pause the movie cause I thought my subs came out of the cabs and hit us in the back of the head!

You have to see this movie...There's got to be ULF galore! eek.gif

I don't know what else to saw but WOW very intense! eek.gifeek.gifeek.gif

What are your subs and how are you powering them?

I agree about the LFE. It is definitely mixed hot. I enjoyed the movie and having "freckles" in it doesn't hurt. wink.gif

Not sure how low it hits, but my whole house was shaking with a THT.

Current HT: HTPC-->Epson 5010 projector-->135" screen, BFM TLAHs x7 & THT

Freckles...lol wink.gif ya I hear you...

I had read that Battleship was a fun movie to watch for bassheads...well...I was disappointed in that one...The LFE just did not do it for me.
So far for me since my upgrade of my subs, Prometheus and Real Steel...WOW~!

Check out Super 8. The train scene is pretty outrageous. That said, I was really into the first half of the movie, but the second half wasnt nearly as good. Still worth it with subs like yours!

Interesting that you enjoyed it so much. I always cringe when a guest says they want to watch that movie, and the LFE is the reason. You're right that it's got plenty of bass. But I didn't think the bass was very well executed. It just sounds boomy and overpowering to me. Sure you could argue that I've never actually experienced a giant boxing robot walking by, and so I don't know what it should really sound like. And you'd be right. But I have spent a lot of time around a lot of very heavy things hitting the ground, and to me it just wasn't very believable. I found it overdone enough to actually detract from the movie.

Thankfully the presence of "freckles" more than makes up for it. smile.gif

I'm not into "thumbs upping" or "liking". Don't take it personally. Just assume that I found your post helpful. Unless it wasn't.

If you think Real Steel has lots of LFE, give Underworld Awakening a try. That was my latest five star LFE experience.

For me, the worst overdone bass movie is Pulse. Heck, it was one of the worst movies I'd seen in while.
