I have an A7-350 with a bad driver, I am contemplating buying a replacement driver. The Lt1300 is being fixed and I was considering a Q15 from FI car audio. I don't want to step down in performance as what little time my A7-350 worked I enjoyed it. I always felt it could use a little more kick for music but I did enjoy the low end for HT which was good because I used it for HT about 90% of the time. I am open to suggestions for replacement drivers if you feel their is a more suitable replacement.
The other option is the Tuba HT. I have been looking at this design for a little while now and was thinking I might give it a try now. Would my lt1300 be too much for this design or could I just keep it turned down as to not feed it too much power?
Basically, which would be your pick? Replace the driver or build the Tuba HT
If you pick replace it, what driver would you suggest and why would you recommend it.
If you suggest building the Tuba, would the lt1300 work and why would it be better?
By the way, I am not doing either until after Christmas.
