Hi scomed99,

nice build, great photos is that a sealed sub with one BMS 18 driver or with two drivers, sorry just see it is with 2 x BMS 18 ! So you have one box two drivers two amlifiers, how you would feed the singal to the drivers to be in phase or push-pull ?

nice work. which bms driver did you go for? is that the 18n860? too bad all that engineering beauty gets hidden in an enclosure. i almost want to see it like ferrari does with some of the motors. :-)

in the last pic, what is going on down where the purple wires are?

guys, did you click on his signature link? if not, go there now. :-)

also, given your system, what exactly were you missing that led to the bms build?

the amp modules are digimod 1500's? what kind of pricing did you get on the drivers and amps?

Thanks for congrats!

The driver is the new 862, a very well driver with a huge neo motor, a good linear xmax and 3x demodulation ring for a ultra low distortion.

Overall this is a very good sounding sub, with a good extension in the low end region and a brutal force in the +50hz region.

IMHO is a good choice for music and HT too.

I'm italian and I bought the Powersoft mods. In Italy, I know that this mods. aren't available in the US.......rolleyes.gif

This is a custom box that contains my ScomeDSP, the SVS EQ1, the plate amp for the sub, a modem router and a step start System for some gears.

Start from PRE-->2 sec-->DSP ON-->2 sec-->front speakers ON-->5 sec-->sub ON

The purple wire is an interconnection between DSP and EQ1.

Yes, Digimod 1500, the powersoft mod. costs 400 euro each and the BMS 18N862 about 800 euro each

The BMS sub replace the 5400 sub (the center sub in the pics), the 5400 is THE SUB, but IMHO this double BMS can handle the subsonic freq. like the 5400 with more slam in the midbass region.

The finish is a standard piano gloss black.
This finish it's very hard to do at home, I got help from a friend who has an oven for coachwork.

The mains and center have any finish, is so long time that I've planned to finish them, but, you know, it's a hard work to remove everything rolleyes.gif

Some my friends say that this MDF natural color is most beautiful than piano gloss black because to make a contrast with horns and the rest of gears (subs, electronics..)

I don't know, I will see in he future......

What do you think about?

You could find some more infos on surronds here:
