Awesome, never thought it would work off-axis to be honest - I've been trying to figure out how to make something along the lines of bwaslo's "Daniel" fit in my living room.

Is there a development thread somewhere?

Actually resumed my delta-light project this weekend.

Got the stands duratexed and assembled

Mounted the speakers to the stands, pre-drilled holes for drivers, and duratexed

Tinkered around with crossover layout (which I hope to solder up tonight)

When you attached the floor drain to the wood for the stands did you sink it in to account for the lip on it or did you just flush screw it on there?

Two coils on the top right, the one standing should be rotated 90 degrees.

Cused,
It looks a little crowded at the bottom of the board. Maybe you could do like this.

OK reconfigured the board by moving that coil to the lower righthand corner (bottom left on this photo)
drewmc/mrkazador - Thanks for the suggestions!

Next two shots are self-explanatory, used Velcro to mount the XO boards (and a connector for easy removal)

OK with the exception of logo emblems in the lower corners, and some REW comparison measurements; I am done !!! smile.gif

Over the last 2 days; watched one movie, and 2 hours of listening to some hi-rez 5.1 music;
I am very happy - Thank You to all the SEOS gang, especially Erich, Bwaslo, drewmc, and numerous others!

Listening comparison is against my Klipsch RF35s (one is resting in the front right corner, for future measurement comparisons). The most obvious difference (verified by my 18year old with better ears), is that the sweet spot now spans across all 4 seats, previous "sweet spot" with the Klipsch 35s was the middle two seats. I currently have them toed-in by 40 degrees. Also when listening to instrumentals and percussion; I am pretty sure I am hearing much more detail. Mid range seems punchier. Other observations; the stands are a love it hate it proposition. My wife dislikes them - but hey it's a man-cave smile.gifsmile.gif

Sweet, I like the stands, but here again I'm not your wife! Glad the project turned out well for you, they are very nice looking speakers.

Here (or is it hear) is wishing you good listening, and many hours of enjoyment.

Cuzed,
I have to say I do like the stands, but I think the base plates may look better with a faux travertine marble or similar finish. It would blend in better with the carpet than the black.

Good point, I think those bases are what my wife likes the least!
Hmm - may have to look into some kind of "stone-looking" finish

Nice Job!
Have you tried running them full range, without the sub? Curious as to how the bottom end is on the sealed boxes.

That would be a good idea, to have a building tips page. There is a FAQ page but its empty.

Also; does anyone know of a slick way to post REW graphs; instead of my "screen-shot/cut/paste" technique? The following graphs were made indoors. Unfortunately; most of the nulls and peaks between 175 Hz and 1.7Khz are known room issues (the exact source and remedies is an on-going project). All measurements were made with my AVR bypassed, my sound card output was driving the test speaker directly thru my MM900 amplifier. In other words: no Audysey controls, no crossover, no sub-woofers, no processing. Measurements also made with the mic. about 30" directly in front and at the midpoint of the baffle face. Also used 1/6 smoothing.

The first comparison is Big Mal (in blue) under the screen against the front wall.
As compared to a Klipsch RC7 that is buried in mineral wool in an overhead soffit.

The 2nd comparison is a Deltalight 2512/SEOS12-360 (in red)
As compared to a Klipsch RF35.
Both of these were made with the speakers about 2' forward of the front corners of my theater.
