We have lived in this house for nearly fifteen years, and I finally got a subwoofer built for the system in the family room(smallish, 14' x 14' with fireplace).

It is an AE AV12 driver in a 2.5 cuft sealed box, all 3/4" MDF, with a double layer for the front baffle. A Parts Express 240 watt plate amp powers it.

It appears perfectly adequate. ;>)

The LCR cabinets are some Eminence 8" coaxials I built up years ago. Surrounds are QSC ceiling mount coaxials, since there really isn't any floor space for matching cabinets to the LCR set.

The rack cabinet is all built of 18mm Baltic Birch, reinforced, on nice Colsen 3.5" casters(standard pro audio case caster). The original television was a 36" Sony flat CRT unit that weighed 250lbs.

Everything is hand veneered in Cherry by me, along with some black formica on the top of the rack cabinet.

Actually, the wainscotting on the wall is my work too. More DIY

I guess taking my work home with me was on a very delayed plan of attack. wink.gif

Best regards,

Bonus points for naming the movie...

Only thing missing is your impression of how it sounds. wink.gif

If you take yourself too seriously, expect me to do the exact opposite
