Well, construction is finally complete. This is the first time I have used Duratex and I must say, it is a great paint. You can't go wrong with it and it is very forgiving and goes a long long way. I put 4 coats on my cabs and I still have about 1/3 of a gallon left.

i'd love to know how you made your grills. how did you secure to cabinet ? magnets ?

The grills are held to the place with magnets. The case magnets are set into the front baffle and the grill magnets are surface mounted so the grill stands off about 1/8" to prevent any rattle. These are the magnets I used:

They are probably stronger than I needed, but they work. Here is a picture of the back of the grill:


I put squares of Velcro over the magnets to add some cushion so the magnets don't slam together and shatter.
