I was thinking of replacing all of the speakers and subs in my bp2002s. Any idea of a direction to take when looking for higher quality replacements? I love to design of these speakers and they are great for gaming but I'd like to see more clarity, midrange and softer highs. This seems like an easy enough project?

It doesn't work like that. If you want to build some speakers, build something someone who knows what they're doing has worked out in advance - there are lots and lots of great designs out there.

You would have to redesign the xover with any driver change.

To use a car analogy, you can't put Ferrari 458 doors on an Ford Focus and expect better performance. It would actually hurt performance - the door wouldn't seal, etc. The same with speakers. You can't just swap a tweeter or mid for something that is supposedly better quality since everything works together as a system.\

How big of speakers do you want?

What sort of acoustic treatments do you have in place now?
