I had originally posted this is the wrong area of the forum. Sorry about that and the duplicate posts.

Anyway, my son and I have played with AV rooms in the past and have recently decided to build a second generation AV room in out new house. We are for the most part newbs with a willingness to do a cool project together. The room will be interesting and I promise to post up progress pics as we work through it.

While the room is in the planning stages we decided to put together a DIY subwoofer. So far we have a 15" TC Sounds Axis, QSC RMX2450 and a Velodyne SMS-1. My current receiver (Yammy RX-A3000) has two LFE sub out puts.

Here's where we need the advice.

The receiver has two LFE outputs (sub1 and sub2).

The RMX has XLR, wire and TRS inputs, Speakon and wire outputs

The SMS-1 has LFE input, LFE and wire outputs.

There are multiple input/output options and we want to get some feedback as to what configuration would work the best. For example, would a LFE/RCA - XLR (if there is such a beast) going from the receiver to the amp; speakon - LFE/RCA going from amp to Eq; LFE/RCA - LFE/RCA going from Eq to sub work? The sub has two heavy duty binding posts. Could a single RCA/LFE from the Eq plug into it or would we need a "Y" splitter.

Sorry if this sounds confusing. You input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is the LFE neutered in this set up or is it still LFE (secondary to LFE output from the receiver). The only reason I ask is because I have one RCA output for 2 seperate subs.

Thanks again.

Please explain the one RCA for two seperate subs. The way you should connect everything is the way Mrkazador said.

Typo on my part. Two seperate RCA/LFE on the receiver for two seperate subs. Thanks for catching the mistake.

Oh gotcha.....Those are the same signal. It is the same thing as having one LFE output and splitting it with the Y splitter. You really cant go wrong connecting this part. Also there is a RCA to XLR cable. I know that you mentioned that earlier so I just wanted to let you know.
