I am going to be switching to a behringer inuke 1000dsp to power my new sub project. Question is on hookup. My current receiver has a rca sub output only. My sub has rca input only. The behringer does not have this type hookup. Suggestions on hookups cables. Also i believe there is a fan mod for this but can find the link for this. If some know were it is or know whats needed please let me know. Thanks.

I have used these in the past: from Monoprice with good results. Less than 50 cents, too. There are plenty of options from Monoprice, all of which are decent quality and inexpensive. It just depends if you want to use a single rca to 1/4" or xlr cable, or an rca cable with an adapter. You can use either XLR or 1/4" with the inuke amp.

As for fans, the mod itself is dead easy - just open up the case on the amp, unscrew the old fan, and decide if you want to solder or simply cut the wires and splice in the new fan. Nearly any 80mm PC case fan will work, Monoprice even has a couple if you want to shop in one place. This one seems to be a good blend of quiet and decent CFM (airflow) rating. Newegg or any other online/local PC parts store will have plenty of suitable 80mm case fans in the 18-22dB noise rating range with decent CFM.

I have both types feeding 4 subs, and don't notice any difference between interconnects. I know in the past some people were having grounding issues with the xlr cables from monoprice, but those seemed to be pretty few and far between.

also a note how are is everyone mounting the sub connector on the enclosure? looking for ideas. Pics on this would be great. Was thinking of an xlr plate but may go cheaper and white sub with RCA adapter. let me know what everyone is doing on their passive builds.

For speaker-level connections, I use 2-pole Neutrik speakons.

Yep, that's what I use. I'm running dual mfw-15's in sealed cabs with the 1000dsp. For the output on the amp I use Neutrik 2-pole to banana plugs. My receiver's sinlge rca sub out is on a y-splitter to an art cleanboxpro for unbalanced to balanced connection to the amp with xlr output on the cleanbox to each amp channel. Running the amp in stereo mode now for eq and phase adjustment per sub.

What drivers are you using for your project? You mentioed your sub has rca inputs...is that a plate amp you intend on pulling to use the inuke instead or something?

No attachment for the sub yet. This is a new project and was looking at ideas for the enclosure attachment end also. I figured my other subs have had the plate amp and had the rca level inputs so thought maybe id have the enclosure input that way as well but dont think that is the route ill go. So I'm looking for ideas on the enclosure inputs also. Guess ive always had subs with plate amps so not familiar with the different routes i can go. Also never worked with a external amp and connectors so just plugging away here at my options. Receiver has only 1 sub output and thats an rca out. Woking on getting from the receiver to the amp to the enclosures connections.
