My wife moved my amp now it isnt working... It powers up and the fans blow but the signal lights dont light up, i do hear a hum on one of my subs but it wont play bass... Could a fuse be blown? I have the edQ hooked up to the subs too. I cant understand why it would stop working just bcuz of it being moved

Sounds like it's not getting signal. Did it get unplugged from the sub out on the receiver? The sub can still hum even with no signal.

Check all the dip switches and take it apart and make sure all the connections are seated firmly, and check the fuses.

The power light should work of course, and with it disconnected from the speaker and having it cranked, the signal lights should work too; otherwise it is broken and needs repair. confused.gif

It is a heavy amp and maybe she dropped it and doesn't want to tell you. wink.gif

Luckily it's a ep2500 and not a lab gruppen or equivalent. Still sucks though.

I took it apart and everything looks good but i havnt had a chance to check the fuses, ill get a hold of a volt meter tomorrow. My wife feels bad but insists she did nothing other than move it from the floor to a shelf on the tv stand.. She knows she has to replace it if we cant fix it though:), one thought i had, i think she put stress on the xlr cable that i have coming from the e2q or whaterver it is, i took the cable apart and none of the solders are broken...

How is this amp hooked up? Bridged or stereo? I would not take it apart before I checked each channel with a new cable and a known good speaker wire.

Keep cranking,

Robert

Have you tried removing the eq2 and test the amp only?

Shoot, i messed around with the receiver settings checked the sub level and all the sudden my sub was rumbling? Weird? So now its working again. So what should my switches look like? I have the input going into input 2, the two subs are hooked to it so parallel should be on, what about the clip limiters and low cut filters?
