It looks promising. Wonder what the xmech and price will be?

I will try and get the specs later on today for you guys. I heard that they use all the same soft parts as the XXX but with a smaller, easier to drive motor and of course a lower price.

Below is a link with info from there 2013 catalog but it does not contain the TSP's. As soon as I get them I will post them here.

This could be a freakin' beast if they can get the Qes/Qts down to more usable levels.

See if you can get a price or something in the ballpark. smile.gif

I got a little information but right now they are still a little tight lipped as they are waiting for the final parts to begin assembly here in California. The tech who has all the prelim TSP's is also off today so I should here back from him tomorrow. These will probably be in the $650 range shipped for the 18" but we will have to wait and see what the online retailers price them at. I am a dealer for RE but can't really post my prices on a public forum or I would get my hands slapped eek.gif

These probably won't have the xmax or the mechanical clearances that the 3x does . The motor looks way too shallow to support anywhere near that xmech unless they seriously shortened the coil and or the gap which results in less geometric stroke anyway. Could still be a good driver but probably still expensive and not the displacement monster the 3x is. I could be wrong though.

It's rated @ 1,500w RMS with a 3" 8-layer voicecoil. My vote is on a short(er) coil.

Once I get the TSP's posted if you think it would be something worthwhile for a Data-bass measurement I can pick one up and ship it out to you.

No TSP's as of yet as there still waiting for the final parts to assemble and test the final production run. Once I get the info I will post it here but was told to check back this Friday so hopefully things go smooth.

I'm going to place a bet that it is somewhere near 44mm. We'll see how far I'm off by...

Until they have them in stock I am just guessing what the online retailers will ask but I am guessing $150 to $200 less for the XX18 compared to the XXX18 online prices.

Gotcha. It might be a nice alternative depending on the final specs.
