It might help if you could re-post the TS parameters.

$75 is a good deal, but I dont think a 13mm xmax sub is going to handle 1000 watts in that alignment.

Right now I have a EP 2500 so I'm thinking 2 per channel at 4 ohms they should be ok and should have enough SPL for the room.

The SL-250 models well in my signature tapped horn design, if the TS parameters are accurate. That's the good news.

Bad news is, you're limited to 150W before Xmax. That's about 110dB in half space, 116 in quarter space. But the price is certainly right... two using these drivers aren't a whole lot more money than one using the SDX drivers. Wonder what their mechanical limits are.

That is a great deal, although they wanted $192.28 to ship one driver to Canada... think I'll pass on this one!

Ya shipping to Canada is a rip. I shipped to the boarder. Will also save on duty and taxes I hope.

Is that SL15 or SX15 decent enough for ht? How would they compare to something like a Dayton HO15 or HF15?

I have been looking for some inexpensive drivers. I am undecided about these. I was looking at the SX380. In a sealed alignment, these need tiny boxes to stay under xmax. In something like a 1.25 cu.ft. box, you can just barely get it up to 400w. Alternatively, two Infinity 1260w's in sealed enclosures get's more output in the lower frequencies with a flatter response for just $26 more.

There is no way you could put 1000 watts into that thing in that size enclosure. At best, you can do about 170w before reaching xmax with a highpass filter at 18hz. In the model, it delivers some pretty decent output in that size box even with just 170w.

Oh, and you do realize that a 24" cube will not be 6.5 cu.ft. once you subtract port volume, bracing, and driver, right?

I forgot about the port and driver when I made that post. I am modeling some other options.

Here is 4 in a 12 cubic foot sealed box with 1200 watts.

And this is the same with a Linkwitz transform. Something I think I can do via MINIDSP.
