Personally I'd say those are the best speakers you can get for the price. It's pretty crazy. Oh, and don't forget to put up a review. People always forget to do that!

Erich,

Yeah I'll take some better ones and send them to you. The original ones in the original build thread on your forum look much nicer but it doesn't hurt to have multiples smile.gif

I will most definitely be crossin to a sub, just wanted to help the suspension break in a little bit wink.gif These will be used as surrounds which they will obviously just loaf along with.

These really are crazy good for the price. I'm very happy so far. After they have about a week or so of break in ill post up a review on the site. Want to give them plenty of time to get broken in.

Haha nice! They are super stiff suspensions on the woofers but some skrillex did get them movin a bit. Didn't hit super low but they were hitting hard! And thanks! How do you like yours? I don't think I've read through your impressions yet in your thread.

i like the 8s, and my Dad really likes them (i built them for him). people seemed to enjoy them and be surprised by them at the last G2G at Gorilla83s as well. I built the 12s and 10s for myself, but the sound is similar, clear and detailed, and loud

Very cool! I'm not surprised that people are surprised by them. So tiny but big sound smile.gif

Watching Grimm right now in 2-channel stereo with the Karmas as L/R. I had to go up to the center channel and put my ear to it to make sure it wasn't on. They're throwing a perfect center image. Yeah baby!!

Lol... When I first listened to my SEOS speakers I did the same thing. I could have sworn the center channel was on but nope...it was off. Freaky!

Those look very nice! Well done!

It has me thinking that maybe I should have gone with these over my Jack of All Trades 8 build, mostly because it would have been a much easier build with the precut baffles. Plus, they're only 2" taller than mine...but a little more expensive, too. smile.gif

Thanks! I don't know that kit. This one was really not too tough although I did struggle with the crossover a bit. I think the end result was well worth the effort though! I'm really digging their sound!!

Hey all I'm looking for a center to match my Karma-8'. The Karma-8 doesn't seem to be available anymore so I'm looking for a good match for them for center channel duties. I was looking at the Fusion-6 Center: http://www.diysoundgroup.com/wavegui...enter-kit.html since it shares the same CD as the speakers I have so should be a pretty good match center channel wise for what I have. Thoughts? Has this been built in the real world yet?

Ordered the Fusion-6 Center earlier this week to go along with my Karma-8's along with the prefab box it fits in. Just waiting on shipping confirmation now

So I'll have a new center for my humble HT to go with the Karma's, also ordered an iNuke3000DSP to power the dead amps in two of the three of my MFW-15's. The working one will come upstairs to my living room which is a secondary system. Very excited for a massive upgrade to the front stage next week!

Got it all built up and going, tested up and configured with Audyssey XT32 on my Marantz. Working good and its a pretty good match sonic-wise to the Karma-8's. Overall happy with the outcome, will have to run more tests and see how it all goes but it's looking good for now!

That looks amazing, great job! Bet that sounds as good as it looks

Interested in your thoughts comparing with/without center?

Debating these three options:
1- build C and SL/SR that aren't a perfect parts match but sound great
2- upgrade LCR to 10 Max's and move Karma's to SL/SR
3- a complete set of Volts for HT (new 8LX for LCR and 6's for surround) then moving Karma's to bedroom or office
