I cuurently have a Shiva-X, tuned to 18hz in a 200L enclosure, powered by a 500W HSPA plate amp. Looking for a possible driver upgrade, what are my options? Not really interested in a sideways move, looking for something that will be a noticeable difference.

Thanks!

In terms of LFE, size does matter!

More drivers, more power and overall more subwoofer would be the 'movin on up' ticket for you then. smile.gif

My Dual 18" LLT subs 120dB down to 10hz

i'm not sure there is a meaningful upgrade in the same diameter.

if you want to cut a new hole in the box, plop in an 18" driver, and put a more powerful amp on it, then you can get an upgrade.

gray is what you have.
red is 18" dayton ho with a 1000 watt amp; in the same box.
blue is mach5/ist audio uxl18" with a 2000 watt amp; in the same box.

otherwise, add to, rather than replace, like scott said.

Listen. It's All Good.
