Well I originally ordered a 4x10 to use for distributed audio but was getting static so I sent the board back and upgraded to a 10x10. The 10x10 doesn't have any sound quality issues so that is good. Regarding how I like it, I think it is pretty easy to use. Then again, I'm really only using it as a sub crossover and haven't yet had a chance to setup my new HT and EQ everything. So what I've used I like but I really haven't put it through its paces enough yet.

Hey guys, I think I see some time off from work in the near future and would like to work on EQ for my subs. Given the system and components I have and the fact that I have admitted I'm not very techie, does anyone have an opinion on which unit I should go with? I figure one of the minidsp units or something like a Berhinger unit. I think the more plug and play the better.

Thanks.

Just realized the fans on my amp have quit working, opened it up and everything looks good, even opened up the connections and they seemed ok, yes the connection that powers both fans is good, any ideas?

Thanks

I posted this in the Martysub section but didn't get much response so I'm going to ask here in my old thread since it sort of continues with the theme. I built four full Marty's and put my Dayton's in them and like the results but have purchased four UXL-18's to replace the Dayton's, I then thought I would add the four original sealed with the Dayton's back into the mix but don't exactly know how to do it, which amp to get, how to eq/integrate them etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

^^^ Maybe this will help you somewhat.

Here's a couple of great threads talking about blending ported with sealed:

Blending ported and sealed - analog vs. digital HPF... and other ramblings....

Setting up a sealed and ported sub together, or multiple (different) ported subs

Sounds like it can be done successfully if you use the right HPF (Butterworth 12db/oct - gradual slope) on the ported OR maybe even a steep slope on the sealed starting a bout 5-10 Hz to get the phase of the two to line up better and not wreck havoc on your overall BASS frequency response.

You could do this with a MiniDSP or the DSP in an Inuke etc. Hopefully this will help you blend your ported Marty's with your sealed if you decide to add them.

I've have ported currently but want to add sealed 18's directly behind my three main seats in the next couple of months. I'm hoping this info will help me to integrate sealed with ported without to much problem. We shall see.
