Looking for an amp to drive 2 of these soon. Whats the minimum power these will need in 6cuft sealed enclosure in approx 2600sqft room for good spl & performance? I am looking at Crown XLS2500 which is rated at 775 watts into 4 ohm load. Wondering if that's going to be enough.

I would say a minimum of 1500watts rms is what you want. Minimum. More wattage the better.

Sho nuff.

While 1,500w is a good goal you could still get away with less if you have to.

That will not be enough power in my opinion. I would not use anything less than a inuke 6000 which was bench tested at 2000 watts @4ohms per channel. And my ftw 21s will send it into clipping during loud playback.

My only concern is fan noise from the amps because the amp will in the rack in theater room. Crown XLS amps are very quiet.

You can always do a fan mod on the inuke 6000. The ftw 21s can take alot of power oand mine even took a clone 14k amp with no problem.

You will need twice that for just a couple for sure. You're going to be clipping amps before the subs start moving half of what they are capable of moving! TRUST me I have a bunch of these!

Guess I will get couple of Crown XLS1500 amps & bridge them. They put out 1500watts at 4 ohm bridged.

I have only 1000watts going to each of mine right now. I keep switching out amps for other projects. When listening to music I feel they have plenty of power. I wont be pushing them much past 10mm excursion.. When watching movies the same thing occurs. There is plenty of spl for my smaller sized room. 13x18x9ft. I do enjoy these subs on more wattage such as 3-4000watts but they still sound great on less. YOU just wont reach their full potential on smaller amounts of wattage is all.

So with 3400watts available from your 3422 you should have plenty of power. What size enclosure was this going to be in? If 5cuft then your fine and if larger then that you might have the perfect amount.

13x18x9 sealed? How many FTW21's do you have?

My room is not sealed and I have a pair of 21's. Also have a very large window that absorbs some of the bass in the room. Not the greatest room for bass but still the 21s work well. I would prefer to have four of them but that is for my wants in chasing down ULF.

I have a dedicated HT room so box size is not an issue (I've had many - currently two CHT 18.2's). I'm thinking a 7-8 cu.ft. box.
