Seeing as how floor space is a premium at my house I'll be installing this woofer in my attic IB firing into the media room. It may take a few months to have the project come to fruition, but the neat thing is that there will be absolutely zero EQ on the bottom end (subwoofer). I'm confident the LFE will be flat to 16 Hz which is beyond acceptable IMO. biggrin.gif

I might have an HT install day one Saturday to get the help I need to install the big beast in my ceiling along with every piece of HT equipment. And of course we have a trick up our sleeve for the install. I'll tell you all about it after it's installed to see if our theory is correct, haha. cool.gif

WTM/MW with side-by-side TD12Ms for mids, SI 24s top and bottom, passive mid/tweet and active woofer crossover w/built-in speakerpower plate amps. Problem solved.

Must stop typing now, getting drool on my fingers. biggrin.gif

Haha. I think this is the image that resonates really well. A beefy 10" next to our IB 24":

Am I the only one slightly disappointed with the motor size? Looks about the same size as the UXL.

Yes we will be building a larger motored sealed/ported version of the 24" woofer in the future. No ETA for it at this moment.

Wonder how big the sealed box will need to be. 6cft. With a 24" that could handle 1800 watts would be bad ass.

10cuft would be fine for me. I would love to have the XXX woofer and just because it likes bigger boxes then 6cuft doesn't change anything in my eyes.

I'm still wondering what I'm gonna do with my 4 x XXX's......
The biggest box I'll consider for the 24" would be 7cf and even thats pushing it. Any need for bigger than that and I'll want nothing to do with it.
