My brother wants to build 2 sealed subs using the Dayton 18" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 ohm, would he be better off using plate amps or a separate? If separate what is a good amp for these?

Behringer ep4000. Plate amps have high pass filters which kills your sub 20hz extension.

Thanks, that looks nice. What cables are needed to hook that up? Doesn't seem to be rca from receiver to amp unless I'm looking at it wrong.

You will need xlr to rca cables
