I was thinking of replacing the speakers in these. They're pretty old, they've taken a beating at parties, and were always underpowered. Wondering if I could just buy some speakers from parts express, put them in, and use the speakers as surrounds?

You could, but voice matching will be off. Your best bet is to refoam the speaker drivers.

What do you mean voice matching, and I'm not using these with other bose, my fronts are polk. And I'm guessing I get the kit from parts express?
