I just read you mentioned it shuts down even when not in use. Try hooking it in some other power socket and see if it shuts down again. Also, remove the input signal cables and output speaker cables, then simply start the amp. See if it again shuts down.
There are a couple of scenarios in which such a shutdown is encountered. Either it is thermal, some fault in the internal DC power supply, or trying to run lower impedence i.e. less than 4 ohms on NU6000. I don't think thermal shutdown and mismatched loads are the reasons in your case.
