The only rule is that you have to provide us all the parameters below (the more the better at least)... so that we can gauge the scale and how well you are
doing on the cable carnage aspect.
I'll go first.
-no cable management applied
-20 devices interconnected and powered
-15 channels of amplification wired and powered up (10 subs, 7 floorstanders)
-Amp room is 160 cubic feet; 4x5x8
-44 square feet of shelf space. [~60RU's equivalent] 17sqft of it unused.
-age of the rack: 3 months
-age of the oldest device: 10 years old
-average age of the devices: about 6 years old
Ok, here is the good part (don't worry it all goes downhill from here...
I've done pretty decent job of isolating the power cables from the low-voltage stuff, they only intersect where they need to and perpendicularly.
Not too shaby IMO; I could do better though (if I cared to).
Now... from angles that make it look like a nasty pig
Main Power & Interconnects junction (Full View)
4sqft of XLR spillover (don't ask
Main speaker wire junction (work-in-progress)
Secondary Power Junction
Your turn to show your blasphemous cable carnage.
