They lose directivity below about 700hz. Even that's generous. More like 1khz. Cause they're narrow. As you know. The mids were the tricky part to get right for the polars.

I thought you weren't into surround? And I thought you'd roll your own. Big surround man!
Nah, I like surround, it's center channel I'm not feeling much need for. Even that might change if I get to a way to do it easily. Yeah, I stll may roll my own. My previous were my own (made with the orig version of the SEOS6 and an NS6) but I gave them away because they were really ugly and we're moving. But sounded pretty good.

We need some more Photoshop skillz for the Elusive 1099. Must fit the Elusive theme......or at least be funny.

We have Mr. Bigfoot:

And the good ole Oompa Loompas:

If you aren't good at Photoshop, at least give us some ideas!

Also, any decent photos of the completed speaker could be posted as well, or used in the Photo-chops.

Erich, this one was done by member Robert jones II a week or so ago but got lost quickly in the thread. I like it!

Not strictly sticking to the elusive theme, but I think it speaks clearly for itself.

For many of us the dream of owning an Elusive starts during childhood... when we believe that every man, woman, and child should have the right to own any speaker we chose. That's all before learning about supply & demand, scarcity of goods, and allocation of resources.

Robert Jones II those are awesome! I love it.

If I had more time and better skillz like Robert I would attempt a weird science version. It's Alive! (must have bras on the head)

Or a 1099 working on its own elusive XO.

Or a chicken or the egg theme a la 1099.

Or an Elusive sitting in front of a computer hitting browser refresh at the DIYSoundGroup website attempting to order itself.

Yes that was my thought but did like the grain on this one, also thought to trim cabinets out in a black, but haven't photoshopped what that would look like yet.

Only would go deeper to blend in the blue speaker.
