Hey guys, I'm looking for some speaker suggestions. I want to build some speakers that will be good for music on a porch in the summer and in the winter can be used inside on a pc for music and gaming. I have a 100 dollar budget and a ton of mdf just laying around. Maybe a bookshelf type speaker would be best, I do t want them to be too large. Thanks for the help.

Is it something that could get wet? 'Cause that may make a difference...

If you plan on lugging something outside when you go outside, I'd suggest something like the Sprite boombox.

If I was not so hard-headed, I'd have been building that instead of the one I'm making based off of a pair of 1-way bookshelves.

They would be mounted outside all summer and moved inside in the winter. They should be in a place rain can not reach.

I definitely want separate speakers. Cool design though.

Mdf and water does not mix well. A cheap pair of monoprice outdoor speakers that you can leave outside would be better for the patio, then build something for inside.

That was what I was thinking as well. Would painting it with duratex make a difference?
