Very nice job! Those flat packs are engineered so well. I look forward to the finished product.

You had me worried for a moment in your first picture with the front baffle upside down! I wanted to call you long distance before the glue dried!!! tongue.gif

Great start! I can't wait to read your impressions of the sound quality.

LOL. That would have been a very bad start for this build. I was using the front baffle there for clamp-support. smile.gif

I'm just going with the DuraTex-treatment for these. smile.gif

Alright, the crossovers are done and the cabinets are put together. As you can see... I need some filler/spackle-work. Not fond of spackling and sanding; but alas it needs to be done to get good results.

Sorry the pictures are of lower quality than the last ones, my camera died and I had to dig up an old one that sort of works. tongue.gif

Oh, and now I will start gluing together a pair of 4 cu ft cabinets from DIY Sound Group for some SI HT 18 D2-builds.

I'll post some pictures from that here as well.

All the way from the United States to Oslo, Norway

Excellent packaging.

Trying without clamps here, I'll give the glue 30 min.

I'm glad to see the packaging made it around the world. Oddly enough, I package that stuff the same way even if it's going 50 miles away. biggrin.gif

The packaging photo of the 4 cuft flat pack worries me a bit. Looks like it shifted a good amount and got close to the sides of the box. The cubes are a new idea I had for packing up the sub boxes. To make sure they protected good enough, I wrapped the first sample 4cuft flat pack up with the corner protectors, filled the box with the cubes.....and literally threw the 70lb as far as I could. Picked it up, threw it again, then dropped it chest high directly on it's corner. My friend wanted a try and spun around like he was doing shot put in the Olympics and threw it a good 15'. No damage. They passed the delivery test. cool.gif I think the delivery guy would have to purposely do something to damage them.

Thanks! I used JetCarrier.com for transportation from Linden, NJ to Oslo. With sea-carrier freight (about four weeks), all in all without VAT (just shipment) I paid about 400 USD. Reasonable I think?
It was a lot of weight (140 kilo total); 2x Fusion 10 Max kits with cabinets, 2x 4 cu ft sub cabinets, 2x SI HT 18 D2's and a gallon of DuraTex.

It might have shifted a bit as you say, but all the pieces are in prime condition. I'll report on the second box later on. smile.gif

Yeah that seems like a pretty decent price for how much weight that is.

Thanks! I would recommend Bergen or Tromsø (far up north) in Norway.

Amazing progress so far. You are making fast work of these kits!

I noticed the casters in one of your previous posts and thought that was a great idea. Your back and beautiful hardwood floors will appreciate them.

Today I've converted my bathroom to an orbital sander haven... biggrin.gif
Using 80-grit sandpaper just to even everything out on the cabinets.
