Lurked a little bit while I was out on tour, finished with nationals in Vegas last week.

Had this show, and have one set for the 3rd and 10th.

I finally loaded the second dual 21, at the show:

I'm still sitting on the pair of single 21s that will get loaded with the new ferrite LF21X451.

Great to see you posting again, Wi.

Do the forum members have to go to your place for a 'Duratex Party'? Mind you, I am the pot calling the kettle black with a THT in my theater still sporting Baltic Birch with PL beads....while the other is stained and lacquered...

They are all prototypes biggrin.gif

I have the Rust-Oleum Flat Black to apply, but no time to do it. I really want to get them done before winter.

But then you would not be coming up with the next killer lilmike design!!! Please keep the prototypes coming, you are amongst the minority who takes new ideas from in silico to in woodico.

Wi,

Do you tops have enough juice to keep up with that Wall O' LF? Also, how in the world do your turntables stay the course with all that table-rattling power?

Impressive setup.

How about power/distro? Where did you pull your power from and how much voltage/current?

Outdoor bass, good ... clean, deep bass, sounds so, so good. cool.gif

No modal peaks, no modal ringing, no nasty LF decay behavior,

Ronald Reagan and Roger Waters were right .... "Tear down the wall!" Strange bed-fellows for sure. wink.gif

I ran 5 cords to 20a circuits inside the pavilion. The rental rack as I call it(3.6sp, KLR2k and 3200) draws 15a at full tilt. I can estimate the rest as I haven't clamped anything. I try to spread the love as my mains supply can be spotty at best.

First time the rig has hurt me btw. Can't walk in front of it. I'm shooting for lights for the next one. Mostly lasers. I can load the last pair of enclosures to roll with 6 21s, or wait and do lights first. Leaning towards lights.

I've performed my share of mixing outdoor work, likewise,...I've had my share of encounters with law enforcement.

I'm sure you've had to have had your share of words with the man too. That unexpected tap on the shoulder with the Maglite, .. is always somewhat of a buzz-kill eek.giffrown.gif

We had 3 visits last year from the ol boys in blue. This year we had none cause they picked a very isolated shelter. the park ranger that locked everything up did say we were a couple complaints away from a police call though. Apparently it could be heard all over the park.

The 4 1" exit CDs on the waveguides and 4 10s kept up pretty well. I credit it to being outside and having the subs theoretically running at 6db less than indoors. I am fooling with a few top designs though. Just trying to decide between 3ways or line arrays.

I need one more pair of 21" drivers to fill my singles, and another KLR3200 and I can run 4 21s in the main room, 2 21s in a second room, then have 8 18s to fill in or stack if needed. So I could do 6 21s in the main, and 4 18s in the second. Lights are next though biggrin.gif
