By noise floor, do you mean you can hear some buzz through the CD's? How much of a factor is the sensitivity of the speaker with this?

My previous speaker were JBL 8350's, which are 97 DB SPL ,and I couldn't hear any buzz from them. However, I did also have JBL 4722's and they buzzed no matter what amp I put on them. Both my Adcom GFA 6000 and Emotiva XPR-5 would make them buzz as soon as I plugged them in and powered on the amp, even with the processor off and/or disconnected. It may have been a bad wiring/electrical issue but it did seem odd. I tried a cheap denon receiver and it didn't buzz all by itself but you could hear it as you turned up the volume.

Bottom line is that I'd really like to just use a bunch of these NU4-6000's to power everything as they are cheap, have tons of power, and I like consistency. Just want to make sure that isn't a huge mistake.
