Do I need to set the hpf or lpf ? I will be feeding it off the sub out on my pioneer 1021k.

I was out of town Sunday, sorry. Anyways, I thought you were running two drivers in a 8ft3 enclosure. Looks like running one driver in each 8ft3 box running off one channel of the XLS 1500 will work. Excursion is in check.

And no, you don't need a hpf because the XLS Drivecore amp line has a built in 20hz hpf.

Thanks. I only have one hooked up now at bridged 4 ohms and I am scared to turn it up because that's 1550 watts to that one speaker. I think I will do stereo mode and wire each speaker to a channel instead of bridging 8 ohm. That will make wiring easier.

I realize this is an old thread but I wanted to post some pics of the build and let people know the alpine subs work great. an old friend of mine that does custom high end home theater installs came over to evaluate my home theatre and was impressed with the subs. he said they sounded just as good as his high end install subs. I asked if he thought I should add anything and he said no he makes a living selling and installing audio and video equipment so I felt his opinion was honest.
I wont to take a moment to thank everyone who provided me with the knowledge to build my boxes and wanted to post some pics of the build to help anyone in the future. I see the drag and drop file upload but do not know how to do that.
