Comparing the UXL(BL adjusted) to the DS115 the 21's looks better and has 3db more SPL at the knee.
Hey... Here's a curveball.. What does the Mach 5 Ftw21 look like ?

I'm going with : PLEASE! and THANK YOU!

of course the curious possibility thinkerf asks, : just exactly what nuance could possibly be hidden . . .

Inquiring minds and itchy hands want to know . . .

because : subwoofer . .

this has nothing to do with the more complicated "size issues" the guy with the giant roaring truck has . . .

21FTW doesnt look that good after adjusting BL. AND I dont have a Le measurement for it either. I thought Ricci had T/S on the FTW but couldnt find it. Best value driver is the 21DS115. But even the 18TBW100 looks good in this with a max of 400watts. So easy amp power for about 120db@20hz and up. AND depending on your budget the Funk Audio 18TSAD 4 ohm looks good in this also.

I like the TSAD pro audio-like specs so I am a fan. I think they are about the same price as the UXL. BUT they are available. Just depends on your budget.

The 21ds115 is about 725bux here in Canada.
And I was just checking the harbottle site that's how I know.. It says the product line is getting an update.

Ah I see. Hopefully they have a little bit more Bl on the next batch. But the 21DS115 is about 550 for me and the SW152 is about 700. My 15HST that I am probably going to sell now was about 800 for comparison. Thats mainly because the shipping pricing and that was old prices also. Would be about 1000 for another 15 now.

All these great horn designs make me want to build a TH812 or similar for fun.

They are currently available, the website is just being redone right now, to accommodate more information and more products. Feel free to contact them to order anything.

A good question. . .

Is using an approved 21 in stead of an 18 , demonstrable

or is it somewhat listening with the eyes?

Pro audio verse HT subs tend to need less voltage to hit the same SPL. They have lower distortion for the same SPL generally also. Just use whats available in a 18" or 21. Either will work fine. I remember when I had my THT(FLH) with a 15" with 12mm Xmax I believe and that was awesome. I just wanted more extension so I went with something else.

For me I go with the best value lowest distortion driver I can find. Being in Australia it tends to be pro audio because of shipping costs. Nothing wrong with using a UXL or TSAD or on a budget 18TBW100 as I suggested earlier. If you need the SPL then the bigger UXL/TSAD and 21's make more sense. No need to keep up with the Jones's. Buy what works for your budget and needs.

Thank you

FTR I still have 3 THTLP's with the 15". They are beastly

2 of them in the man cave (<110 ft^2), a 24" and a 30" on BASH 300's pressurizes and rattles stuff in other parts of the house.

very intense for almost everything just not so many of the "demo"(lition) clips
