It's not 16x 18" subs.. It's not a pair of Ghorns & Ohorns, or an array of 24" woofers.. But to me, this is a pretty exciting build!
Two lil wreckers loaded with Stereo Integrity HT15 woofers will be installed into my attic, will look similar to an Infinite Baffle, but with 60 cubic feet of folds behind them. EQ will be with a minidsp, amp is NU3000.
These will be replacing a single F20. The F20 is badass... But I'm sure I don't need to explain my desire to upgrade to you people. I should drop my corner by half an octave, and pick up 10db, at least.... The mouths of both horns will be about 1.5m above the seating position.
Ok, I could talk forever, here are some pics
All the wood cut! I had a kid at Home Depot rip the 4x8 sheets for me... Probably cut my build by hours. I stacked the wood to cut two sheets at once, this makes building a pair quick work!
Oh look what come in the mail today! I have no idea what I'm doing. Better start learning. No time, must build.
Beerpong tournament! Just kidding. It's like a thousand degrees outside, so I moved the build into my "finished" porch. It's only
900 degrees in there.
The cat is not an important tool for the layout, but it doesn't hurt.
After mapping out the horn, I stack both outside boards and drill pilot holes, this makes it easy to mount the final panel.
I almost forgot the driver cutout... This would have been the 4th time I missed this somewhat critical step in a build.
Get the first couple boards perfect, and the rest is a breeze.
4 hours and 2 bottles of PL later, a couple horns ready for bracing.
Drivers will be delivered Saturday, if I can find a few hours this week, I should be ready!
