if somebody uses more than 4 diy subs , he will definately use some more advanced DSP settings (with a device like miniDSP, behringer DCX, dbx driverack etc)
Which would be the best AVR for DIY subs?

I read that Audyssey XT32/SubEQ is right now the *hottest* room correction system for bass & multiple subs
but can we combine audyssey with external devices?

Is there any room correction system that completely isolates the bass frequencies?

If you eq the sub flat using something like a minidsp then I don't think Audyssey will touch it. Could be wrong...

I use 8)18s and audyssey xt32 in the denon 4311 does a great job in dialing in the bass. I also have a Marchand bassis which is an external parametric eq but no need at the moment. I do have a couple more subs coming for near field placement. We'll see if audyssey is enough or if I'll need a combination of the two.
