Since you are planning on building the box yourself I assume that you have all required tools (incl. a router). I highly recommend going with a flat pack (Erich has one for MTM), saves so much time and you don't have to eat MDF dust. If you get all items you have listed, you should be good to go. I highly recommend duratex if you decide to paint the box.

Maybe I should outsource my next box building project to you. Took me more than an hour (or two).

I bought the same grill kit. What do your speakers look like with it on? I see in your pic you covered the 3 ports. Does dust build up on them? Do you have to clean them? Was thinking terminating the grills just above the ports to allow good air/dust flow.

My Equipment:

Fusion 12 Tempest (LCR)
DIY Sealed 18" Dayton HO Refrence Subs (2)
Electricity

Just saw this thread for the first time, but op....nice job!

System looks great and I love the speakers stands. Nice design and execution.

I didn't really need to purchase three kits, two would have been enough but I should have purchased an extra T-Joint Kit for Alchemy MTM. I am going to order one today.

Duratex is arriving today and I'll start painting my boxes. How long does it takes for it to dry before I can apply the second coat?

I'm starting to see the finish line or is it a mirage?

How do they look with speaker grilles on?
Did the PE plastic grilles fit around or over the wavegides?
Looks kinda tight so over is my guess
Would you use the PE kit again?

I ended up not using the grilles. They felt a bit bulky to my taste. At this point speakers are sitting uncovered. I purchased these 2 items instead but didn't get a chance to mount them yet.
