I am confused by the switch settings to bridge my 2 behringer amps.

On the EP2500 I have 3, 6,7,8 to the right and it seems to be fine with so signal coming through the other channel since its in stereo with parallel off. If i turn parallel on it clips.

On the EP4000 the same settings give me signal to both channels.

How the heck do i bridge these things?!

4,5,6,7 to the right if you have only one input going into the amp. If you have stereo inputs then 4,5 to the left and 6,7 to the right.

Well I didn't read the instructions when I did mine and just used the back panel and bridged it. What I failed to read in the manual was that you have to turn the second gain knob all the way to the left. If you don't do this it then it will create a nasty clip at any decent volume. This may not be your problem at all but something to be sure of I suppose...

So on an EP2500 how should all of the dip switches be set if you want to bridge the amp?

Is it the same for the EP4000? I am probably going to pick up another EP2500 or EP4000 sometime in Janruary as I already have one EP4000 that I have not hooked up yet due to my confusion on the correct dip switch settings.

I'm going off memory here but don't 3 and 8 to the right turn off the HPF and isn't that what we want?

Yeah 2. Go by what it says on the right side of the back instead of what it says at the switches. This has caused confusion for years.

Remember on a lots of ep2500's the dips are backwards vs the manual. That had a ton of guys thrown for a loop.

Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!
