Thanks, it was finished until I decided to rip the front apart and redo it with the front stage/false wall and AT screen. I'm looking forward to the stage getting carpeted soon and getting it all finished. And I haven't put up a official thread about it yet but I'm going to host a West coast GTG this summer.

awesome!

i feel like a broken record, but with the big ported cabs and high power amps, please make sure the protective high pass filter is in place before performing full power runs on the dyno. :-0

I have to say that while I jumped in on the group buy I honestly wasn't all the crazy about how the UXL-18's looked. All the pictures that I had seen either had a black dust cap or carbon fiber one with print on it and the carbon fiber had a blue tint too it. Well the four that I have definitely look different then the pictures I had seen, these things are beautiful in person with a really nice all black carbon fiber cone and dust cap. I'm SO SO happy I went with these drivers to replace my dual PSA XS30's.

"I have the HPF set at 16hz like we talked about. That's still okay right?"

that's cool. with some test tones, you can figure out the precise tuning, as the cone motion goes to a minimum right on the tuning frequency. then setting the high pass at or just under that point is decent practice.

Its an inside joke, I've had two different forum members come over to hear my JTR speakers. And both times the person wanted to hear Madonna, and of course my wife being the smart ass she is starts laughing and teasing me that some stranger wants to come over and hear Madonna. So when Warren came over my wife asked if we were going to listen to Madonna....lol

The vents are on the sides, there's just enough clearance so that the left & right speakers don't affect the ports.

Its a Falcon screen, 120" diagonal 16:9. Its an awesome screen and I highly recommend them to anyone considering an AT screen. Before deciding this screen I got large 2'x2' samples from SeymourAV on their XD material & EN4K material along with a sample from Elunevision on their 4k reference acoustical weave.

As far as not being able to see any screen weave while viewing I would rank the four screen materials as
1. EN4K, 2. Falcon screens, 3. Elunevision 4K, 4. XD.
Truthfully the Elunevision and XD material are almost identical as far as the weave goes.

The Falcon is a great compromise between the EN4K and XD material, I honestly would of loved to get the EN4K material but I wasn't about to drop $3500 on that screen and upgrade to a brighter projector.

Rich also has masking panels coming out soon for the Falcon screens so I'm going to pick some up too.

Thanks Steve! Yeah I still have a good size list of things to do before its 100% done. Stage gets carpeted in the next week or two, then I have to finish up the fabric frames go to around the screen, then acoustically treat the wall/side wall & ceiling behind the false wall and lastly finish the last two subs.

I'm so proud of my projector...............thanks for asking!

You mean this roll?

I have no use for it other than lining my four subs with it...........................

Shipping would be almost as much as what it's worth!  About 90% of roll is unused................I need maybe 4 linear feet leaving probably 80-85% of roll.  Jump the fence...........err border and come and get it........free!  ;)
