The plan is to start shipping them February 15. With luck, it will be before the end of February when the last one ships out.

Thanks,

This is probably the best case scenario. If they arrived before Valentines day I might accidentally forget to take my wife out. Which I definitely need to take her out considering the amount of stuff she let me buy this year! I should probably take her somewhere nice, especially since I will be too busy as soon as the new subs arrive!

Guys.......guys......guys.......

You're all arguing over petty stuff.....biggrin.gif

The only fair thing to do is let me back in group buy ahead of you both since I ordered well ahead of either of you!!! tongue.gif

Seems ironic...........one reason for bailing was getting drivers way ahead of you guys..............now I'll be waiting until mid-late April!!

Be happy you are not waiting until April.............May.............June.............July.........or even August! smile.gif

Why not call Mark and talk to him to see what he can do for you? Even if you don't get the group buy price I'm sure he'd help you out a little, and with the current exchange rate they are still below $500 shipped for you. And the LMS-U only has about a 1.5dB advantage below 20hz, above that the UXL-18 has the advantage. So IMHO it seems insane to buy 4 LMS-U for $4 grand when you could have 4 UXL-18's for half that price!

Plus there's no duties when these are shipped from Canada to you, as they are made in NA. From what I've read there's still going to be a wait on the LMS-U's too, so either way you're going to have to wait a little.

Where do you get that figure from? 30cuft is not at all required or even optimal.

My Dual 18" LLT subs 120dB down to 10hz

Maybe he's talked about a ported cabinet, I know that LTD02 told me that I'd want as least a 36cu.ft cabinet if I was going to use a SI 24 in a ported setup.

^ that's what I thought. But with all this talk about the exchange rate and the prices on Mark's site being in Canadian dollars I wasn't sure.

That was brought up by someone saying that he just bought one online from Mark and it was only $487 after exchange. If you buy directly from his website its $530 Canadian. Another way to save money is talked to Mark about the shipping. If someone was to buy four or more I know that it can be cheaper to have them shipped to the local depot and pick them up there rather then having them shipped directly to your door.

Guys - I found a new, more powerful sub. I couldn't find the T/S specs so I'm not sure how large of an enclosure we'd need. smile.gif

Pfft, I bet that 154 dB number is only in the corners - someone needs to talk to these boys about treatments and importance of the room beyond the trendy epoxy coated concrete walls. Plus they'll need to build a seating riser for any kind of tactile effect.

Well since Mark seems to see this thread I will ask here.

Will the VC handle 110v for very long?

I remember hearing about the VC on an older thread and it seemed VERY capable. BUT since I will probably buy a pair of these newer UXL's I wanted to make sure. These will be going in a TH if I can manage to fold my design.

I cannot say for absolute certain as I've never applied that much power to it. I have 3kw on tap and a bass hungry wife who performs all the "testing" for me on the stuff I build. I leave the house for several hours and if the driver is still intact when I get back, I know I've got a winner.

Then I hand it off to N8... tongue.gif
