Thanks guys! One more question. I did the battery test and got a response, but it looks like I also need to press the driver to ensure the box is sealed correctly.

(I used the included gasket, but did not add anything else)

I'm totally paranoid about damaging the driver. I assume it won't take too much pressure to see if there is a leak?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Just came across this while browsing old posts, never saw it before. This is beautiful. Makes me wish I had gone sealed instead so I could stain it like this. I went the easy way and did duratex on my marty. This really did come out perfect. Looks store bought. Nice job.

You can push super hard as long as your hands are on the cone area and not the dust cap. You will have to push pretty hard to see if there is a leak. dont worry, you wont do any damage.

Thanks Fatshat, chalugadp was just over having a listening session to hear my JTR's and help me dial in the first two subs a little. We still couldn't get REW working properly though.

I posted a few graphs now in my LTD-M18 thread, take a look when you get a chance. I'm just playing around with REW right now.

I also had a chance to compare my 228HT's to chalugadp's minions.

Hey guys, just wanted to make sure that you know about an easy to build flat pack that fits the uxl18 offered from Erich at diysoundgroup.

http://www.avsforum.com/t/1520110/limited-run-of-4cuft-flat-packs-for-the-stereo-integrity-18-subwoofer/60#post_24496252

They were originally designed for the SI18 which is no longer offered. The same driver opening works for the UXL18, so Erich is gracious enough to get additional flat packs made to fit these. You can goto the thread linked above and add your name to the list with the quantity or just PM myself or Erich to get added.

Well, nothing really fancy to show here, but I did add another baffle layer to diysoundgroup's 4.0 ft3 enclosure and recessed some speakon connections. I am powering these with an Inuke 6000 DSP. No EQ yet, but I am really liking what I am hearing. I am comparing to (2) captivator 1000's. Awesome sound and I get a feeling of more "weight" to the sound. I will eventually measure to see what the look like. I will either try and get these to play nice together or get 2-4 more UXL's.

It's changed up a bit. My room being an L and very open has proved challenging. Now I've got two of the enclosures nearfield with the front two stacked on some sealed 18s to help smooth response. I'm on the first batch for the group buy to get two more so I'll have four UXL up front again plus the two nearfield. That should just about do it.

so tempting to buy a si18 and have this baby running in a week but I will hold out. Just don't want any production delays pushing back delivery into Mid March.<img alt="eek.gif" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.avsforum.com/images/smilies/eek.gif">
How did this build turn out. i have a si ht 18 that I want to use in a mini marty like this one. MY SW will be down firing with your port orientation. I will put either 2 or 4 inch legs on it so I want have to worry about damaging the driver. Where did you locate your xlr connector?'
Thanks.
