LS9's are 80.875" tall, and the LS6's are 68.0" tall.

^^^^ What he said.

So I just finished up both of the YouTube clips. They sound good to me, especially considering the source. Now to pop in some NWA and really get the wifey going. biggrin.gif

You know really I would just need the baffle made out and the rest of the enclosure I could make myself.

That might be a more affordable way of getting these out there. Just an idea.

@Scott Simonian, that's definitely doable in the short term. I actually thought I threw that idea out earlier, but reading back I see I did not.

A template for the braces might be a good idea as well.

I'll work up some pricing for that and see if it's possible to ship something that long via small package. It may need to be freight.

i was thinking the same tonight. do a mdf baffle and build the cab using birch ply. having the baffle built would save time and shipping would be easy

I don't have any problems blending them in with the quads so I don't think the O/horn should be any different.

Just FYI cuz it's much easier and cheaper than building. lol

The first time I laid eyes on these gorgeous speakers was while reading "edoggs" LMS build thread. I thought to myself "those are the sickest looking speakers I've ever seen"!! Automatically because of the looks I figured they were super expensive, turns out their cheaper then my current towers. I think.......

Never mind, never mind, I gotta stop this thinking. I keep telling myself "after this upgrade I'm good for a while" well that was like 5 upgrades ago.....and I'm not even done yet with my sub upgrade. So I'm going to just sit back and drool while I watch this thread. Unless of course.....I don't even want to say!

Ouch! Sure makes the idea of a flat pack more appealing.

I don't agree. Whilst large the cabs are basically all rectangular and very repetitive, ie all the internal braces are the same. The baffle has lots of holes, but again, lots of the same. If you live in a large city, I'm sure there's a kitchen or cabinetry builder who would cut the large panels accurately on their large table saws for a modest fee. The rest is some routing and assembly and clamps, lots of clamps.

Yup. Looks pretty easy, even for me! The baffle though... I doubt I could get that right on the first try. tongue.gif

Yikes!

Prices like that are exactly what got me into DIY in the first place.

It's simply one long slot and the same hole routed out 12 times.

Lemme get this right....you just finished and have not yet fully optimized the mother of all over the top HT systems and you want to build a set of lines? If you and MK ever stepped into the same room the Earth would implode.
