Yes, they are the custom models.

The 10" ones are taking more time, but I'm really not sure there's much need for them anyway. So they aren't priority.

I think they're about 5.25" deep.

Alpha test boxes are complete:

8" is in a 10" wide, 13" tall, and 9" deep box

6" is in a 8" wide, 11" tall and 7.25" deep box.

They would likely need a smaller slanted box made up.

Will the 8" model fit into the same box as the Volt-V8 or is it too deep??

The slanted box for the Volts is a bit too big for these, so there will be another one made up that's smaller. They might be preassembled boxes.

I bet a slanted version would be popular; I should try to patent the idea as I'm sure it's novel.

Atmos, Atmos, Atmos.....whose going to be first to have a 9.2.4 setup using Erich's coaxials for the on ceiling speakers. We also know the 2 in the 9.2.4 is more likely to be 8 than 2 around these parts.

If you guys wait long enough, I'll give it a try…. Sadly, that's probably going to be a pretty long wait. I've got my hands full just trying to get the rest of the theater done. Oh, and I'll need a shallow box…. very shallow box…..

Doubt I'll be the first but I am interested greatly in Atmos and overhead surrounds.

What type of coverage do the 10" volt or the "new coaxial" design speakers offer? ie 90 degrees conical? And what about the slant box designs?
I'll go first, im still building my theater. I'll be adding 4 in ceiling speakers for Atmos. I was thinking about using the slant box design but I bet the speaking truly ceiling mounted is optimal. I will use the slanted box for my sides or rears.

I don't think the Volt series is going anywhere, as I understand these are just going to be a "high end" coax offering.

While this doesnt matter to most what are the maximum SPL levels you can achieve with the 8" Coax? 10"?

Just trying to see if I can use an 8". Again this will be used outside. Most likely the 8 will be fine for my app. Just curious of the answer is all. Has anyone done any "MTG90," like videos of the coaxials?
