I like that as my concern for not purchasing one in that past was I could not work with a HPF as high as it was on the DSP's. I have read how to adjust the HPF which is nice to know. Now that I can turn it off I have other ways to set it the HPF like a mic2200 and a velodyne sms-1. Another question I have is I am looking to boost the voltage from my receiver to the amps was looking for thoughts on that. Does. the Matchbox HD work for this and if so is the a HPF built into it. if it does I wonder how high it is

would this item work for the line level converter from my receiver to the inukes.

http://www.newark.com/mcm-custom-audio/555-8485/balanced-unbalanced-line-level/dp/12M5508?mckv=sdywDsFoj|pcrid|33869889261|plid|&CMP=KNC-GPLA

Not familiar with this so let me know if this would do the job

I also found this one for the converter from balanced to unbalanced for the voltage issue

Thoughts?

What are you trying to accomplish? What is your source system that will be driving the iNuke?

my source units are an older denon and sony. Believe me I know I'm working on upgrading to the Denon 3313 but that is a couple months down the road. So what I am trying to accomplish is not running into a voltage issue from my sub out on the sony or the denon when I move to the DSP's. So I am looking for a converter that will help increase the voltage Not sure if it will be a problem but I'd like to be prepared if it is.

The iNukes have an input sensitivity of 0.75v. They are very sensitive. You should be able to drive that will just about any AVR. With my Pioneer I can drive the amp to clipping with the gains 1-2 clicks past half way.

I would not put anything between your receiver and the inuke. The fewer electronic devices you have in the chain the better.

I don't know any of the specifics of the input voltage needed but I did read somewhere that someone had tested their inuke with a couple of converters going from headphone jack, to rca to XLR and he was able to test with downloaded sine waves and frequencies with his iphone. I don't know what kind of voltage a headphone jack puts out but he didn't mention having any problems. Also last week when I thought I had an issue with the sub or inuke I disconnected my avr and hooked up an 8 year old Teac desktop unit that has subwoofer output and it worked just fine.

I think you will be fine, save the money on those add ons toward the new receiver.smile.gif

Thank you Steve, I set it on the shelf with everything else that was black and had a really hard time with it not matching. I have a bit of OCD when it comes to things matching, wife gets on me all the time about me being a freak about matching things. My son wanted a Seahawks themed room and of course there is no way the white xbox would match so here is what came out of it.

I know but then I would get rich and wouldn't need to build my own sub cabinets, could just order them already made and would have no need for these forums. I would miss you guys. biggrin.gif I sold it already, but my daughters room was purple and pink, very girly. Her xbox and TV where both painted to match. It looked very cool. Harder to sell a pink Xbox than you would think.

Looks veddy veddy nice. Not sure I would risk it myself as it would irreversibly void the 3 year warranty but I can say it looks much better than the stock silver.

It really chaffs my backside that all pro-amps are designed so uglily. Well maybe except the Lab Gruppen's FP+'s, those are actually pretty sleek.

Is this sale price the new price for the inuke, because they have been on sale a long time? And would the 6000dsp be a good match for a pair of Danley DTS10's?

Not sure, but it is a nice price for the DIYer crowd. Ya, a 6000 is not a bad match. That will give you about ~2100w per cab. That should get them moving pretty well.

Just looking for a sanity check before I pull the trigger. I am about to buy a 6000DSP.

Earlier today I bought 2 Si 18" HT D2 that I am going to use in 2 Martycubes.

Is the 6000 the right amp for the 2 ohm woofers (2) I just bought?

Thanks!

That amp will leave plenty of headroom. Wired in series for a 4 ohm load, the amp will be capable of putting out about 2000 watts per driver.

Yes, if you wire them in series and use one channel of the amp for each pair, ala 4 ohms each side. The 6000 will not do a 2 ohm load or at least is not spec'ed to.

For D2 (dual two ohm coils) that should work fine. You'd wire the coils in series for 4 ohms. ...and this is exactly what I am doing smile.gif
