It installs inline from the wall to my Directv receiver. Make sure you have an extra piece of coax cable to go from the out of this to the directv receiver. I just removed the coax from the back of the receiver, plugged this in and then to the receiver. It works for me but might not work for others, don't know for sure but it was worth the $15 shipped.

I used blue masking tape, and I still see them, but it darkens it enough it isn't annoying. I still want to be able to see what it's doing, I just don't want to be blinded by it.

Can anyone tell me what CFM the stock fans push on the inuke 1000? I am about to do the mod, but want to make sure it is getting enough air.

Also, I assume it voids the warranty to do that? I am giving up a 3 year warranty in Germany if I go that route, so want to make sure I don't jip it of air flow...

If you do the mod carefully, you won't damage anything, so un-doing it in the future is possible if you need to.

Just go with any of the fans recommended here (or check their specs and at least meet them) and you should be fine.

Anyone have issues with their inuke shutting down periodically? Didn't have problem a while ago, but it's starting to get hotter here (and by hot, I mean 70deg :P). Wondering if the fan mod is causing low flow resulting in thermal shut-off. I swapped stock for 2x http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ZF64TQ/
may need higher flow without the super loud stock.

I use those same fans. Are you sure the fans are still running? The connection comes loose easily.

Actually, I think the problem is something else. The amp felt cool under load, and the fans were blowing. Trying to think of what else will cause the amp to shut down into protection for a second then restart (happened at loud and quiet times).

Mine did that once, then exhibited other odd behavior. Now it's dead going on 2 weeks sent out for RMA. I did not mod mine either.

The inuke DSP 12,000 is on sale at <$800 at amazon. (new price?)
http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-NU12...inuke+dsp+6000

Did the issue on these with the wrong firmware ever get ironed out?

@Mfusick pointed that out to me last night. According to a amazon price tracking site its the cheapest price every listed.

http://camelcamelcamel.com/Behringer...uct/B00HRKWS0Q

Do they use a 220 volt plug? Anyone remember?

This is almost the same price as a clone amp, for the reliability factor alone that would make me want to go with a behringer over it. Its still no 14,000 watt rms but this does have 4000rms per channel @ 2 ohms with DSP.

Did you find a site that tested output? The results that Brian, from speakerpower returned were a little disappointing right, unless you do need 2 ohm operation, you're just as well off to buy the dsp 6000 right? Now that it's basically double the 6000 in price it makes more sense though.

That's how I understand it. Just a 6000 that is 2 ohm stable. Not worth double the price.

I'd much rather have a clone amp.

These didn't work for me. I upgraded to an avr with XLR inputs which are silent.
The final solution.

SamAsh had a $50 off deal and free shipping. My inuke 6k dsp was $350 shipped no sales tax. Its the best deal I have found thus far. The parts express coupon they had was only $25 off.

Samash has returned or open box inuke 6ks dps for $350 shipped now (its less but they charge you shipping) still a decent deal for a great amp.

Sam ash give you a free tshirt parts express give you a hat... I have 3 hats.

I needed some wire and other odds and ends from PE, so I was able to use the $50 off of $500 coupon.

I chatted with Sam Ash CSR. They would honor the current $50 off $399 or greater coupon available on line, if the iNuke DSP 6000 was in stock. Since it is out of stock - no go. I'd never even heard of Sam Ash before, but I went ahead and registered an account there.

Just got off the phone with sam ash, picked up a 6000 DSP for 350$ shipped.

Call 800-472-6274, then option 3.

The guy on the other end just changed the price of the amp in my shopping cart.

He also said there are 4 more in stock even though it says they are out.

I just did the online chat with a rep from SamAsh and got $50 off a $299 purchase. I picked up an inuke 3000dsp, some speakon connectors, and an rca to 1/4 adapter for $250.

SamAsh also has 15% off right now so I got the inuke 3000dsp for 237.99 free shipping, no tax. You can get the price by using the chat feature when you order and they will add the discount.

Glad i Found this thread. I ended up getting a 3000DSP for $227.99 with free shipping and no tax. Which really surprised me cause there is a Sam Ash about 10 miles from me. Not that I'm complaining!

Plan is to add two more SI 18s. I was going to get a 6000, but then I'd have a 3000 left over and have to sell it or find so,etching to do with it. Just easier to have (2) 3000dSP. One running the two up front and the other running the two rear!
