Hey fellas,
Im debating on the 3 drivers,i plan on building a sealed enclosure powered by a iNuke3000DSP, my room size is about 10x14, and will be corner loaded. All 3 drivers are pretty close on winiSD and just want to see if any one can help me out by throwing in some opinions/exp.ect. I will be using this driver for 50/50 movies and music. Thanks in advance.smile.gif

Box size looking like maybe 4-5cubes sealed, going to have someone build it, I don't trust my own work for this beast that's moving a lot air lol, I looked into SI , but not feeling the lower RMS although I read some good things about them ,
My goal is to get rid of my 2 12 inch Type R's in a 5.5 ft3 ported tuned at 23hz just to one sealed 18. Thanks

After taking it on the first time it’s a confidence builder although we make our mistakes here and there.

You could also A(ssemble)IY instead of fully DIY. Finish it easily with something like DuraTex.

IXL-18 ,hands down if you are in Canada.
It's probably a toss up between most of the drivers if you arent... but I'd still take the IXL because I'd love to see someone build the "new" ones.

Confirm with Erich since he currently doesnt' specify the IXL-18. Erich can get you the inner (drop in) diameter, and the recessed diameter for the cuttout options he currently offers. Then you can ask the IXL people to see what they suggest.

If the UXL / FTW is any indication of the quality of Mark's subs, I'm sure you will not be dissapointed.

Looking forward to pics smile.gif

^^^ Hey that’s great to hear! From what I see suggested it ought to do really well in the 4-5cf range you were looking for. You got my interest so I pulled up w/isd because I see no sim and the IXL is already there. I must have loaded the file over at the shack. Anyway looking forward to what you come up with. I have no doubt you can build a square box braced properly . cool.gif

Ouch! spikes. You might wanna put 4-6 1" dowels in there for bracing before you close her up. You most likely already plan on it though. Anyway, that was fast!

iNuke died.......frown.gif
Still got warranty on it so gonna send it in on Monday, it died when i was playing some bass sweeps between 10-40.Thinking about going with a Crown amp.I got the UXL hooked up to my Yung 500 plate and it still sounds GREAT! I just couldn't believe my nuke died, its hardly ever on...
You guys think the CROWN is a better choice then the nuke?

Inuke are a great value, as are the FP clones. Just not the reliability rate of other companies. I went with the peavey ipr2 as it is a great value and seems to be a very reliable product. Only heard of one 7500 having an issue which was easily resolved. They crowns are obviously solid units though at a price and they seem to roll off kinda high compared to other amps.

I had an IPR7500 that was new in the box that first started smoking like crazy with only the power cable plugged and then caught fire internally briefly. It went out as soon as I unplugged it. It was replaced very promptly and the replacement has been flawless. Like anything else I think it was just a freak thing.

I do highly recommend the IPR7500 though. It puts out plenty of power and sound great.
